Добавлен 11 фев 2015
Today, getting what you need is as easy as a trip to the store; from food to clothing, energy, medicine, and so much more. Andy will discover what it takes to make everything from scratch. His mission is to understand complex manufacturing and production processes that are often taken for granted, doing it all himself. Mastering the Secrets of Carbon and Steel
this work is really cool. I really wanted a small drill for bushcraft, I'll try to make it, thank you.
Glad I stumbled upon this video as it indirectly answers my question about vacuum smelting...
I mean if you start it with the pump drill and then finish it with a different drill that would be the most effective way using it
must be nice to have the disposable time and income to do useless crap
You went all the way out there and didn't get a single close up of those amazing looking green cliffs. I really wanted to see what that rock looked like in more detail 😕
Love me some over-engineered stuff like this! You could get the same result just stacking a bunch of crossbows and hooking up a rope to trigger them all at once or set it up so the further you pull the rope the more shots that are fired- would probably be easier to reload that and you wouldn't have the chance of firing in a random direction if one of them went off by accident. That's just me rambling though. I love this thing!
But will you support the rebuilding of the Gaza society when its time? Dont be quiet like everybody else Andy, please!
The real Dr.Stone
outstanding
This is the best basic beginner teaching video
"Just too insane looking not to try and recreate it myself" Okay I'm sold
😮 seriously it’s the prototype of the Gatling gun…
That old school look for chemical storage is pretty and all, but please store the stuff properly and just put some water with food coloring back there as a prop.
imagine if Leonardo would live in our time and have a youtube channel
Can you consider making some of the machines that reduced human labor in farming, making the Industrial Revolution possible? You can't advance as a civilization if everyone is farming! I really like your woodworking machines, and I think it would be cool to see a small mechanical reaper or threshing machine!
Don't worry about the picture quality too much. Tbh, you're doing, all by yourself, what took decades of trial and error by scientists, engineers, and craftsmen. Of course it won't be as clear, so don't be too hard on it. It'll come out better next time!
Just an opinion (for what it’s worth), by the end of the film you were able to demonstrate real results-albeit not for long- but your phone did indeed (briefly) gain a charge. My idea is thus; conceivably could one make many voltaic piles (or indeed Baghdad batteries), connect them together and run the resulting current through a transformer coil (you could wrap a coil manually or potentially loot one out of a furnace or a microwave). My estimation is that if one was trying to resurrect 21st century society out of the (radioactive?) ruins of the old order, there would still be a decent amount of “stuff” laying around that one could potentially salvage and put to use… I’m just curious what the result might be if one were to wire, say, a dozen of these piles together, run the total current through a transformer coil THEN into your phone? My best guess is (much like any newly developed technology) or re-developed I suppose, your theory is sound and you arguably have a viable “proof of concept” but I would love to see a video concerning the refinement of the tech you’ve rediscovered, for example, like what I just watched, but perhaps a follow up, concerning how one might implement this technology on a larger scale. Just my thoughts, keep it up Andy! You are a true scholar and pioneer! I honestly can’t wait to see what you re-invent next! Greetings from the Dominion of Canada!🍁🤴🏼🇨🇦
That's as high of capacity that anybody would ever need
Thid channel looks really cool. If you ever get transported back in time, you surely would be king of the world lol
You Guys always fail.
love the jacket !!!
Reminds me of a rope maker I saw on another channel. R.I.P. Grant.
Keep it up it’s for education and science and dog lovers don’t understand what they do to there dogs when they pamper it only health problems
Get a jocko/origin sponsor
Pretty insane
Put the same tip as the second and third on the first one
Mine works great.
Pump drill needs a much smaller bit
No color change?
Bamboo segments can be removed with a red-hot rebar.
You need charcoal or coal.
You could read a book on glass making befor talking to experts...
The auger drill you need a heavier counter weight a hard stone one not sand stone but maybe granite just a smidge bigger than the wood one you are using. That would help keep your momentum and help control the drift
Pro tip for pan fishing: use less worm so they have to bite the hook to get the worm
He brings up a great point. You're going at this with just yourself or a tiny team. Antiquity had entire villiages working on this.
Imagine going to a larp and your enemies have replaced all their archers with like 5 of these on swiveling mounts
You should sell that type of loom!
Bro will get gta 6 bevor us
Love the overkill movie scene at the end. Anybody can tell me the name of that movie or show?
thought they were going to link the rules?
But did you build the beacon that call the aliens or something?
Thanksgiving: Seasonal That moment: Perennial
Call it the auto-quill
Ripped wood?
The Roman’s weren’t the first people to have glass it was Egypt😂
I've seen the pump drill used more as a early centrifuge than as a drill.
For the pump, just use a screw piece. Something that is actually supposed to drill through wood. Don't use a flat head
Then you put it on a pivot point so you can swing it up and down left and right, would be dope.
Says the guy who is making it out of southern pine😂😂😂
From somethine people can follow along if they want to try now just need chemistry lab
